Viola M. Harrington (Roucoulet)

Viola M. Harrington, 93, a resident of Burgess Road, died Tuesday, April 16, 2019 at the Manes House following a long illness.
Born in Bennington on November 6, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Fred and and Agnes (Callahan) Roucoulet. She received her education in the Bennington schools.
Viola married Peter E. Harrington at St. Francis de Sales Church in Bennington on May 22,1948. Peter died November 6, 1972.
Viola's home and family, especially her grandchildren, were always her main interest. She also enjoyed crocheting and word search puzzles.
Viola's family would especially like to thank the staff of the Manes House for the exceptional loving care shown to Viola over the past several months.
Survivors include three children, Nicholas F. (Judy Mears) Harrington of Bennington, John P. Harrington of Salem, NY and Rose Anne (James) Zappone of Pownal; seven grandchildren, Serena, Thomas, Timothy, John Jr., Justin, Joshua and Jessica; eight great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her husband Viola was predeceased by a son, Peter E. Harrington Jr; a grandson, Peter E. Harrington III and six brothers and sisters.
The funeral will be held from the Mahar & Son Funeral Home Monday, April 22, 2019 at 12 noon with a prayer and from Sacred Heart St. Francis de Sales Church at 12:30 p.m. where the Liturgy of Christian Burial will be offered.
Friends may call at the funeral home Monday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
Burial will take place in the family lot in Park Lawn Cemetery.
