Peter N. "Nick" Palmer II,45, a resident of Johnson Street, North Adams, MA, died comfortably surrounded by his family on Saturday, December 9, 2017 at the Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield, MA following a long illness.
He was born in North Adams on September 7, 1972. He was the son of the late Peter N. Palmer and Jean N. (Vareschi) Morrissey who survives. He received his education in Bennington and was a 1991 graduate of Mount Anthony Union High School.
Peter had been employed as a cook at Camelot Village and Mount Anthony Country Club. He also worked at Central Radio in North Adams and most recently worked for Turgeon Brothers in Williamstown, MA.
Peter enjoyed playing golf, jamming on his guitar, drawing, cooking, hunting and spending time with his son, niece and close friends and family. He was a member of the North Adams Elks Lodge # 487.
Survivors include a son, Nicholas E. Palmer of North Adams, MA; his mother, Jean N. Morrissey and his step father James A. Morrissey of Bennington; a sister, Carrie J. Morrissey of Stamford, VT; a step brother, William Morrissey and a step sister, Donna C. Campbell, both of Winston Salem and a niece, Ava R. Morrissey of Stamford, VT along with many cousins and friends in Palmer, MA.
The funeral mass will be held at Sacred Heart Saint Francis de Sales Church in Bennington on Friday December 15, 2017 at 11:00 a.m.
A reception will follow the Mass at the Sacred Heart Saint Francis de Sales Parish Hall.
