NORTH BENNINGTON- Norman Eugene Hurley, Jr., 60, of North Bennington, Vermont, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, April 3, 2022. He passed away at his home with his beloved wife, daughters, and loved ones around him.
Norman entered the Marine Corp. at a young age and went on to be a jack of all trades. He completed his plumber's apprenticeship, was a machinist, a manufacturer, and eventually a dedicated maintenance worker. In his spare time he loved to read novels of all types, complete word searches and crosswords, listen to music, spend time with and help his loved ones, and enjoyed his well-manicured lawn. Norman was a kind, patient, and loving man to his wife, Bonnie, and his daughter Katie, and step daughters Naomi and Morgan.
One of Norman's favorite sayings was "The kindness you give is the kindness you receive ", and that is exactly how he lived his life.
He is survived by his mother Jean Hurley, his wife Bonnie Hurley, his daughter Katie Hurley, step daughters Naomi and Morgan Martin, his sister Lori Marshall, brothers Marc and Timmy Hurley, and his nephews and nieces.
He is now with his predeceased father Norman Hurley, Sr., his brother Scott Hurley, his granddaughter Adrianna, and his beloved mother and father in-law Lucille and David Brookman.
Norman always wanted the best for everyone in his life and considered himself extremely lucky to have the family and friends that he did. Norman was always right there for everyone through their ups and downs, and taught them that life was short and to enjoy every moment of it. In the words of his favorite band The Beatles, "Take these broken wings and learn to fly."
