Louis S Burdick

Louis (Louie) Stevens Burdick died unexpectedly on May 11, 2025 at SVMC. He was only 72 years old. The family is deeply saddened and shocked by his sudden death. He was born On January 26. 1953 at home in North Pownal, Vermont with his twin Lois.

Louie is forever cherished and remembered by his loving family. Siblings Leland (Ruth), Gerald (Pat), Mary (Curt), Linda (Ed), Lois (Gary), Elaine (Randy) and Marcia (Ben). His memory lives on with his many nieces and nephews.

Louie was predeceased by his father Lawrence, his mother, Marion, his brother John, his brother Allan, and his brother Larry.

Even with His disability he soared with everything he did through life.

Some of his greatest joy came from watching Dale Earnhardt Sr racing through the years. That love of racing carried over with going to the races with Gary and then later watching his nephew Rob race all over the Northeast. Those were some of his fondest memories.

Louie had a few professions throughout his life. He began his career at Sibleys machine shop, later to go on and work at Walmart in Bennington Vermont as well as North Adams Massachusetts. He also volunteered at Southern Vermont Hospital for many years.

The family will honor the life of their beloved privately, without holding a public service or gathering.
