Jerold Edward Crawford, Jr., 77, resident of Bennington, Vermont, passed away surrounded by his family on June 9, 2025.
Jerold was born in Searsburg, Vermont on July 7, 1947 to the late Jerold & Erma (Maxwell) Crawford. For the majority of his life, Jerold was a handyman and tradesperson – working in several different occupations and operations. He was a jack-of-all trades and a wealth of knowledge in construction and repairing. Jerold loved to work outdoors, and found it very rewarding in being able to do so.
When he wasn’t working, Jerold cherished the time that he would spend with his pets and family. Those that he loved, were treasured above all and always put first. This was similar in his devotion to his country. Jerold served in the United States Army during the Vietnam Era. He was incredibly proud in his duty of serving his nation.
Jerold is survived by his daughter, Elizabeth Keenan. His son, Jerold Crawford. Grandchildren: Jason Keenan, Bethany Keenan, and Ariel Keenan. A sister, Shirley LaCross. A brother, Larry Crawford. As well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Jerold is predeceased by his parents, Jerold and Erma (Maxwell) Crawford. His daughter, Jessica Crawford. A sister, Cheryl Ann Lovelace. A nephew, Leon Lovelace.
Services with military honors for Jerold Crawford will be held at a later date at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery located at 200 Duell Road, Schuylerville, NY 12871.
