Jean B. O'Connor, 87, a resident of Rivers Edge Community Care Home, passed away peacefully on Sunday January 14, 2018.
Born in Bennington, VT on December 20, 1930, she was the daughter of the late John and Anna (Lochlein) Kennedy. Jean received her education in Bennington and was a 1950 graduate of Bennington High School.
She married Edward O'Connor at Saint John the Baptist Catholic Church in North Bennington. Mr. O'Connor died on August 7, 1966.
In earlier years, Jean was employed at the Bennington Motel and the Kirkside Motel.
She was a long time member of the First Baptist Church in Bennington. Jean enjoyed watching television and going for walks.
Survivors include two brothers and sisters-in-law, Frederick P. and Shirley Kennedy of Bennington, and William P. and Bette Kennedy of Scarborough, ME; a sister, Helen Kennedy of California and several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and cousins. She was pre-deceased by two brothers John Kennedy, Jr. and Robert B. Kennedy and a sister Eleanor Harwood.
A Celebration of Life for Joan B. O'Connor will be held from the First Baptist Church in Bennington on Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at 12:00 noon.
Private committal services will be held at Park Lawn Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
