Ina M Cross

August 13, 1935 — March 28, 2022

North Bennington- Ina M. Cross, 86, a resident of George Street, in North Bennington, Vermont, passed away peacefully on March 28th, 2022.

Born August 13, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Susan (Elwell) Buck. Ina received her early education in Bennington and graduated from Bennington High School in 1953. Shortly after her graduation, on October 3rd, 1953, she married the late James O. Cross at Saint John the Baptist Catholic Church in North Bennington. At the time of James' passing in 2008, they had been married for 56 years.
For many years, Ina held various jobs in the school system; retiring in 1993.
She also had a very special companion, her dog, Mr. Whiskers.

Survivors include Ina's children, Kimberley White and her husband Earl of Forestburgh, New York, and Matt Cross and his wife Jen of Delmar, New York; as well as a daughter-in-law Colleen Cross of Bennington. Ina is also survived by her six grandchildren; two great grandchildren; a brother and his wife, Fran and Donna Buck of Shaftsbury, Vermont and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She also had a special relationship with her neighbors Nadine and Neal Kenyon

Ina was predeceased by her son, James "Jim" Cross.

The services for Ina will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
