Henry V. Cox

Henry Cox, born in Raleigh, North Carolina, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loved ones, on May 6, 2025.

He is survived by Melissa, his loving, devoted partner of 35 years; his bright, thoughtful daughter Sofi B.; his son Amir, devoted husband and father, alongside his lovely daughter-in-law Lashanda; and three beautiful grandchildren, Amir, Taj, and Laila.

Henry, a master carpenter, took great pride in his craftsmanship, leaving behind a legacy of work built with care and skill. He had a deep appreciation for good jazz, thoughtful books, strong espresso, and long, peaceful drives. Some of his happiest moments were spent camping in Maine with his family and adored huskies, Blue and Abby.

Henry was a kind and gentle soul who made a lasting impression on every life he touched. Deeply loved by all who had the privilege of knowing him, his warmth, quiet strength, and generous spirit will be remembered always.
