Gail L. Prentiss

She was born in Canaan, New Hampshire September 28, 1937. She was the daughter of the late Bertram and Dorothy (Jordan) Monroe. She received her education in New Hampshire.
She married Arthur L. "Stubby" Prentiss on May 22, 1955. Mr. Prentiss died January 26, 2008.
In earlier years Gail was employed at the Bennington Banner, Nancy Shoe and Thompson Manufacturing.
She loved to walk and garden. She enjoyed being in her exercise group, going on the senior citizen bus trips and playing bingo. Her family, grandchildren and great grandchildren were her main interest.
Survivors include a son, Arthur L. Prentiss Jr. of Bennington. Three daughters, Valerie Prentiss of Bennington, Crystal Clifford (Tom) of Cambridge, NY and Amy Rogers (Matt) of North Bennington. Ten grandchildren, Jeremy and Chelsea Reppin, Jenna, Elyse and Lindsey Prentiss, Sydney and Noah Clifford and Zachary, Joshua and Elijah Rogers. Five great grandchildren, Kyndra, Shealynn and Finnleigh Caslin and Franky and Amarian Rivera. Two sisters, Audrey Matheson of Bennington and Geraldine Campney of Missouri. Along with several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was pre-deceased by three brothers, David, Joseph and Clive Monroe.
There will be no calling hours or funeral services.
The burial will take place in the family lot at Park Lawn Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
