Estelle B. Hoth, 98, a beloved mother, grandmother, family member and friend, passed away peacefully at her home in Fleming Island, Florida, on June 25, 2025. A former longtime resident of Bennington, Vermont, Estelle was born on January 29, 1927, the daughter of Theodule J. and Hermine (Bellemare) Betit. She enjoyed a wonderful childhood surrounded by a large, loving family. Estelle received her education in Bennington and graduated from the Vermont State Academy of Beauty Culture.
On May 3, 1958, Estelle married the love of her life, Frederic D. Hoth, at Sacred Heart Church in Bennington. They shared nearly six decades of devotion before Fred’s passing in 2016.
Estelle brought love to everything she touched. In her early years, she ran Estelle’s Beauty Salon and also worked at Ben-Mont Paper, Inc. A devoted member of Sacred Heart St. Francis
de Sales Church, she was an active member of the St. Anne’s Society and sang in the church choir.
A lifelong lover of music, Estelle was a self-taught musician and played the accordion, organ, piano and harmonica. She affectionately shared her music with her family and created many
lasting memories. She had both a generous heart and a creative nature. Estelle found joy in arranging silk flowers and crafting handmade greeting cards for family and friends. It was a cherished hobby she lovingly continued into her nineties. Her home was always filled with love, laughter, and the smell of something delicious baking in the kitchen. Above all, her heart belonged to her family and many friends. She cherished every moment spent with them.
