EDGAR J. BEAUCHAIN OBITUARY
BENNINGTON, VERMONT

Edgar J. Beauchain, 79, a resident of Bennington, VT died on Tuesday, March 3, 2020. He was born in Putney, VT and was the son of the late Paul and Cecelia (Vaine) Beauchain. He received his education in Hackettstown, New Jersey schools. In earlier years he enjoyed playing baseball and basketball. Edgar served in the Navy from 1960 until 1966. He was a jet engine electrician on the USS Franklin D. Roosevelt. Following his service to his country, Edgar went to work for Pratt-Whitney as an electrician. He later moved to New Hampshire, and worked as a master electrician and then opened and operated his own electrical business, Ed's Electrical Company.
He is survived by one son: Peter Beauchain of Bennington, VT, and a step-son, David Keisner. He leaves a sister, Louise Seward of East Wallingford, VT and a two brothers, Eugene Beauchain of Pembroke, NH and Vernon Beauchain of Mt. Holly, VT.
He is also survived by two aunts: Marie Manny of Rutland, VT and Rosemary "Dolly" Beauchain of Charleston, NH, and several nieces and nephews.
Burial at Sea will be overseen by the Navy.
The Mahar and Son Funeral Home in Bennington is assisting the family at this time.
