Douglas "Tricky" R. Gerity, resident of Bennington, passed away on August 16, 2025 in Albany, NY.
He was born in Bennington on July 31, 1931, and was the son of the late Earl and Eva (Waters) Gerity. Douglas was a graduate of Bennington High School, and later went on to serve in the army during the Korean War from 1950-1952. After his time in the army, he worked as a self-employed painting contractor.
Douglas married the former Margaret "Peg" Miller on October 1, 1953. As his father said at that time, "Good luck, kid."
Douglas leaves behind three children, five grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
