Dorothy Marie Rogers, 80, a resident of Bennington, VT, passed away peacefully at her residence on November 6, 2025

Born March 11, 1945 in Bennington. Dorothy was the daughter of the late Kermit M. Eggsware Sr. and Beatrice (Mathers) Eggsware. Dorothy was raised in Bennington, VT and graduated from Bennington High School where she met and later married the late Roy Edward Rogers.

Dorothy and Roy married on July 17, 1965 in Bennington, VT.

In her earlier years Dorothy worked as a housekeeper at the former Iron Kettle Motel in Shaftsbury as well as with her husband at the former Pownal Race track and later settled on being a housewife and babysitting many neighborhood children as well as her own nieces and nephews and later her grandchildren and even great-grandchildren. She spent her entire life giving of herself to others.

Mrs. Rogers enjoyed arts and crafts, traveling, taking many bus trips to various destinations and playing Bingo. She especially enjoyed her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren she would spend endless hours enjoying many adventures and vacations with them throughout the year.

Dorothy was predeceased by her husband of 39 years, Roy Edward Rogers on November 6, 2004, 21 years to the day of her own passing.

She leaves behind her children Jeffery C. (Chrissy Cusato) Rogers, Matthew M. (Amy Prentiss) Rogers, Todd E. (Melissa Bennett) Rogers Sr. and Shelley M. Rogers. Her 16 grandchildren Ashley, Steven, Jeremy, Tyler, Savannah, Megan, Zachary, Joshua, Elijah, Brooke, Alisha, Kelsey, Todd II, Ethan, Lucas, Laney and her 15 great grandchildren Jayce, Jordan, Jaxon, Mackenzie, Declan, Matilda, Reagan, Everly, Alexandria, Ella, Rory, Macklin, Hunter, Remi and Josie as well as many brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews.

At Dorothy's request, all services will be private and there will be no calling hours.
