Donald Mason passed away on January 24, 2026. He was born on September 25, 1952, in Bellows Falls, Vermont, to Catherine Grover and Perry Mason.
In his free time, Donald loved to be out in nature, particularly enjoying fishing and driving his beloved cars. His passion for both vehicles and animals was well known.
Donald is survived by his daughter, Goldamay Wescott, and his sister, Donna Harris. He also leaves behind his grandchildren: Johnny M-Wescott, Landin M-Wescott, and Phoenix M-Wescott.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Catherine Grover and Perry Mason, as well as his siblings, John Mason and Clifford Grover.
Calling hours will be held at the Mahar and Son Funeral Home in Bennington, Vermont from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 4, 2026.
A burial will take place at a later date in the family lot at Ira Allen Cemetery in Sunderland, VT.
In honor of Donald Mason’s memory the family kindly requests that donations be made to Mahar and Son Funeral Home to offset funeral expenses.
