Darwin "Sonny" Bentley Jr. of Bennington died Sunday July 7, 2019 at a friend's home.

He was born in Cambridge, NY on May 13, 1958. He was the son of the late Darwin Bentley Sr. and Patricia (Watters) Bentley.

Darwin enjoyed spending time with his friends drinking beer under the bridge.

Survivors include three sisters, Darlene (Bentley) Palmer, Cindy (Bentley) Marcoux and Shari (Bentley) Bevins all of Bennington. Three daughters, Leona Bentley of Massena, NY and Stephanie and Tiffany Marrinen both of Cohoes, NY. Three grandchildren, Jordan Brentley, Kylee Bentley Wells and Mercedes Bentley all of Massena, NY. His cousin, Deborah (Bentley) Belville and her husband Terry. His niece, Kayteeanna Burdick and her fiancé Shawn Burdick. His nephew, John Mears and his husband Tylor all with whom he lived with for the past ten years and several other nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by a sister Mary Ellen Hall and two brothers, Grant and Scott Bentley.

There are no calling hours.

A memorial gathering will be determined by the family at a later date.
