Betty L. Davis (Britch)

June 4, 1931 — September 12, 2020

Mrs. Betty L. Davis, 89, a resident of Crossover Road in Bennington died peacefully at home surrounded by the love of her family and friends on Saturday September 12, 2020.

She was born in Franklin, VT June 4, 1931. She was the daughter of the late Harold Britch and Hilda (Messier) Britch LaFountain. Betty received her education in Bennington.

She married Howard C. Davis on October 18, 1948 in Bennington. Mr. Davis died June 23, 2017.

In earlier years Mrs. Davis was employed as a manager at Montgomery Wards in Bennington. She was also an entrepreneur in many businesses with her husband

Her home and family were her main interest. She also enjoyed gardening and spending time with her friends.

Survivors include four children, Susan Davis of Bennington, Bruce Davis of Hobe Sound, Florida, Dr. Brenda Davis of Dummerston, VT and Tracy Towslee of Woodford. Ten grandchildren, five great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild along with several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was pre-deceased by a daughter Sandra Davis and three brothers; Stewart, Ronald and Douglas Britch.

At the request of Mrs. Davis there will be no calling hours or funeral services.
