Audrey Helene Matheson, 89 of Bennington, VT, passed away at the Vermont Veterans' Home in Bennington on June 10, 2025.
Audrey was born in Canaan, New Hampshire on April 4, 1936, the daughter of Bernard and Dorothy (Jordan) Monroe. She married Frederick Matheson on January 26, 1956, in Hoosick Falls, NY. Frederick predeceased her. Audrey was a production worker with Eveready in Bennington for many years. She enjoyed doing jigsaw puzzles and loved tending to her gardens.
Audrey is survived by her children: Sheila Lammers of Buford, SC and Glenn Matheson of Bennington, VT, her grandchildren: Dustin Lammers, Paige Matheson and Karissa Matheson, a great-grandchild, Luna Lammers and a sister, Geraldine Campney of Missouri. In addition to her husband, Audrey was predeceased by a son, Scott Matheson, brothers, Clive, Joseph and David Monroe and her sister, Gail Prentiss.
Graveside services for Audrey will be held at Park Lawn Cemetery in Bennington, VT on Wednesday June 18, 2025 at 11:00 AM.
