Audrey Magown

December 31, 1969 — March 23, 2022

Audrey W. Magown, 91, a resident of Bennington, VT. Passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 23, 2022, following a long illness.

Born Audrey June Wright in Boston, MA on June 29, 1930. She was the daughter of the late Arthur and Evelyn (Seely) Wright. Audrey lived and raised her family in Georgetown, MA before she moved to Florida with her husband Richard in 1994. When they moved to Florida, she became a beloved member of the Isles of Vero Beach Community.

She attended Curry College in Milton, MA majoring in Dramatics. After one year she spent a summer in Summer Stock. During her time in Georgetown she was a founding member of The Georgetown Theater Workshop, where she acted in many plays. The GTW is still in existence today.

Before retirement, Audrey worked as an office manager for an Orthopedic Surgeon's officeor 15 years.

Survivors include her sons; Scott R. Magown of Methuen, MA and Peter D. Magown of Dracut, MA. Her daughters; Kathryn M. Brown of Gardner, MA and Linda J. Hale of Shaftsbury, VT. Audrey is also survived by nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband of 52 years, Richard S. Magown. As well as a brother, James Wright.

A memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family in the coming months.
