Arthur A Peterson

Arthur (Art) Peterson, 70, formerly of Bennington, VT, passed away at the Craneville Place of Dalton in Dalton, MA on November 6, 2025 after a brief illness. Arthur was born in Bennington, VT on August 10, 1955, the son of Albert and Anna (Tollison) Peterson.

Art was a Direct Care Professional with the Berkshire County ARC for many years, working in a group home and also at the North Adams Regional Hospitals Greylock Pavilion for many years prior. He was an avid New England sports fan and in his younger years played baseball and basketball. He also enjoyed golfing.

Art is survived by his children; Russell (Leah) Peterson of Fairport, NY and Laura Peterson of Chicago, IL, a grandson, Landon Peterson of Fairport, NY, nephew; Shane (Jodi) Thompson of Bomoseen, VT and great-niece; Alyssa Thompson of Bomoseen, VT. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his sister, Diane Proulx.

Family and friends may call at the EP Mahar and Son Funeral Home in Bennington on Monday November 17, 2025, from 2:00 to 4:00 PM.
